BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT:

The subject Chemistry was incorporated as one of the fundamental essential subject in the college level and got affiliation to Utkal University, Odisha, Bhubaneswar with 32 seats in +3stages in the year 2016 vide Order No-5752/RDE, dt. 11.05.2017. The meeting held on 27.04.2016, Chemistry became the affiliated Hon's subject in +3 stages with 32 seats vide Utkal University. From the academic session 2012-13, the institution got affiliation to impart honours teaching in Chemistry with 16 seats. From the time of its inception the department moves on its path of success to achieve academic excellence. The department equipped with three senior experienced facultymembers and two demonstrators to impart teaching in honours as well as pass subjects. Our teachers are dedicated, hardworking and committed for quality teachings and quality development of students.

1. OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT:

   1. To encourage research activities among the students.
   2. To enrich academic improvement of the students & teachers.
   3. To conduct seminar & workshop for clear understanding of different topics.
   4. To arrange study tour& picnic once a year to enhance student activities in different field.
   5. To develop leadership qualities among our students through participating in N.C.C,N.S.S,Red-Cross & Sports activities.
   6. To conduct welcome & farewell ceremonies for mutual co-operation among students & teachers.
   7. To provide well furnished laboratory for use of students.
