BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT:

The subject History was incorporated as one of the fundamental essential subject in degree college in 1994 .In the year 1994, History was the pass subject. From the academic session 2011-12, the institution got affiliation to impart honours teaching in History with 16 seats. From the time of its inception the department moves on its path of success to achieve academic excellence. The department equipped with two senior experienced faculty members to impart teaching in honours as well as elective subjects. Our teachers are dedicated, hardworking and committed for quality teachings and quality development of students.

1. OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT:

   1. To encourage research activities among the students.
   2. To enrich academic improvement of the students & teachers.
   3. To conduct seminar & doubt Clear Class for clear understanding of different topics.
   4. To arrange study tour & picnic once a year to enhance student activities in different field.
   5. To develop leadership qualities among our students through participating in N.C.C, N.S.S, Red-Cross & Sports activities.
   6. To conduct welcome & farewell ceremonies for mutual co-operation among students & teachers.
