The subject mathematics was incorporated as one of the fundamental essential subject in the college level and got affiliation to Utkal university, Odisha, Bhubaneswar with 32 seats in +3 stages in the year 2016 vide letter No-5752 dt. 27.04.2016.
From the academic session 2016-17, the institution got affiliation to impart honors teaching in Mathematics with 32 seats. From the time of its inception the department moves on its path of success to achieve academic excellence. The department equipped with three experienced faculty members to impart teaching in honors as well as Elective subjects. Our teachers are dedicated, hardworking and committed for quality teachings and quality development of students.
OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT:
1. To encourage research activities among the students.
2. To enrich academic improvement of the students & teachers.
3. To conduct seminar & workshop for clear understanding of different topics.
4. To arrange study tour& picnic once a year to enhance student activities in different
field.
5. To develop leadership qualities among our students through participating in
N.C.C,N.S.S,Red-Cross & Sports activities.
6. To conduct welcome & farewell ceremonies for mutual co-operation among students &
teachers.
7. To provide well furnished laboratory for use of students.
The department organizes seminars at least 1-2 in a year to which eminent resource persons are
invited. Thetopic of the seminar is usually chosen from the syllabus keeping in view the question
pattern of university examinations for the benefit of the students.Inter-disciplinary faculty member
are also participate in the seminar. Our faculties are also participate in the seminars, workshops,
conferences, organized by different colleges and universities
CEREMONIES:
Welcome ceremony to new comers and farewell to the outgoing students are also organized every year
to sensitize mutual co-operation among the students and teachers.
Students of our department observe National Youth Day on 12th January every year of Swami Vivekanad
Birth Anniversary , teachers day on 5th September every year with great enthusiasm to pay respect to
their teachers as well as respectable homage to noble soul Dr.S. Radhakrishnan. They also celebrate
independence day, Republic day, Ganesh Puja and Saraswati Puja, National mathematics Day every year.
